Ijoba Lande has openly expressed his diisapp0intment with veteran actor Segun Ogungbe, acc¥sing him of miishandling funds and neglecting professional responsibilities during a movie production.
He said:
“If you have money and you can’t afford to l0se it, don’t bring it into the movie industry. Before you cruciiify me, put yourself in my shoes. I invested about ₦10 million into my last project, and I’m highly diisapp0inted with Bro Segun. I never thought I would be.”
Ijoba Lande alleged that before filming began, he provided funds for the project. However, once production started, issues arose including actors complaining about lack of feeding money. He claims he had to personally step in to manage the situation.
He further revealed that agreed cast members were dropped without explanation, and by the second day of production, the project almost collapsed when Segun reportedly said the funds had run out.
“I was sh0cked because most of the featured actors like Yemi Elesho, Baba Tee, and Okele are my personal friends who came for free. I only paid for their hotel. Yet, you said the money was finished”
By the third day, there was no editor available, despite Lande’s clear instructions for a quick release. He said he later discovered the editor hadn’t even started work because he hadn’t received the hard drive and Segun was not picking his calls.
“I had to pay an extra ₦250,000 just to get the hard drive. Even basic promotional clips were not given to me. I paid you in full; I don’t owe a kobo. Even your crew didn’t help promote the movie. ₦10 million is not a small amount. Even if I offended you, business should remain business”
