Veteran director Adebayo Salami, well known as Oga Bello, has recollected his response on the day that he was slapped on the set by his son Femi Adebayo.
He said Femi, acclaimed producer of movies like ‘Jagun Jagun’ and ‘Seven Doors’, had gone back to him after the act and asked for forgiveness.
Oga Bello, however, said he bore no grudge against him because he only did what he must as a professional.
According to the veteran who recently marked his 60th anniversary on stage, he would have punished Femi if he failed to slap him.

In an interview in ‘The Nation’, Oga Bello, whose new film, ‘Her Excellency’, is in the cinemas, notes: “Well, let me tell you, if I’m acting with him or any of my sons on set, I’m not seeing them as my son, I’m not seeing them as my child at all. I’m looking at them as a colleague, I’m looking at him to interpret his role properly, and I interpret my own too properly.
