Real Madrid star Rodrygo has reportedly already decided which Premier League club he would prefer to join, should he leave the Spanish giants this summer.
The Brazilian winger has been linked with a move away from Madrid following a series of changes introduced by new manager Xabi Alonso. Since taking over from Carlo Ancelotti, Alonso has wasted no time reshaping the squad—bringing in the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, and Franco Mastantuono—while also preparing to offload players who don’t fit his plans.

Rodrygo, currently with the team at the Club World Cup, has featured sparingly under Alonso, which has fuelled speculation about a potential exit. Frustrated by his limited role, the 24-year-old is said to be seriously considering his future at the club.

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, while Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are all monitoring his situation, Rodrygo has already made it clear that Arsenal is his preferred destination should a transfer go ahead. The Gunners are reportedly ready to bid around €90 million to secure his services, viewing him as a potential replacement for Gabriel Martinelli.
However, Arsenal are also on the verge of announcing the signing of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, which could impact their pursuit of Rodrygo. It remains to be seen whether Mikel Arteta’s side will continue to push for the Brazilian amid other priorities in the market.
Despite the growing uncertainty, Alonso has yet to confirm any decisions regarding Rodrygo’s future. Speaking after Madrid’s 4-0 loss to PSG in the Club World Cup, the new boss said:
“There have been no decisions for the future. We haven’t rotated too much in this Club World Cup and the context will be different in the future.”
For now, Rodrygo’s future remains up in the air—but if he does leave the Santiago Bernabéu, he appears to have his sights firmly set on a move to the Emirates.
