Today I married my best friend and said yes to forever with him.
Today I decided to get back up and give love another chance.
Today I decided to change my surname
Today I made a lot of decisions but I wasn’t alone.
Today, yes today, somebody’s son decided to hold my hand through the lonely paths of life
Today I am made a worthy woman
Today I realised Folajogun Akinlami is quite a mouthful
Mrs Ijagbemi will do just fine
Yes, today I become
Mrs Fola Peters Ijagbem
Mr Ijagbemi also shower both her mother and mother in law with praises for raising them well.
“Our Mothers…
I want to take time out to celebrate the grace of The Almighty God on these two great women, they both have a lot in common and the strength is second to none.
- They are both highly educated with mummy Akinlami being a retired secondary school principal and a graduate of UNN and mummy Ijagbemi is a retired nurse and she hold a master’s degree in social work!!! Oh yea!!!
- They both lost their husbands early in life and had to raise the kids alone and they both did not re-marry because of their children.
- They both have three kids each, mummy Akinlami has three girls, and mummy Ijagbemi raised three boys.
- Mummy Ijagbemi raised one lecturer, one professor and a super mega screen god who is currently a PHD student.
- Mummy Akinlami raised an ace broadcaster now a globally recognised leader with a UK Master’s, and a financial tech expert. A barrister of law with a UK master’s in Technological law, and a super mega duper screen goddess.
This wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love, it was a celebration of silent strength. It was a mutal understanding and appreciation of each other’s hustles and bussles through thick and thin. These women went through it all and, alone, and yet raised amazing kids. These women are the real MVP!!! They are the super mega stars that we look up to. The mothers that mothered us!!!
We love you, mummies!!!
Ebami kira fun mama mi
Orisa bi iya kosi laye!!!
His wife further celebrated him World Vitiligo Day!!!
I bet you all thought the white beard was tinted and for fashion right?
I celebrate you today same way I celebrate all really special people living with Vitiligo across the world.
If you have ever judged him for tinting, do you feel bad a little? Good, its called hasty generalisation!!! Sometimes there is more to it !!!
We see you guys
We love you
We love the extra spice that you throw in the mix.
Keep winning.
