Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi has expressed his delight at being considered a contender for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, calling it an “honor” to be in the conversation for football’s most prestigious individual award.
The Moroccan international, widely regarded as one of the top full-backs in the game, reflected on his impressive season after helping PSG to a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Speaking to Africa Top Sports, Hakimi said:
“If people think I am a candidate for the Ballon d’Or, I am very happy. It’s a pleasure, an honor for me.
I am in great shape, I feel good. I think I had a magnificent season.”
