Nigerian actress Allwell Ademola has revealed the deeply personal and painful reason behind her decision to remain unmarried at 41.
In a candid interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo on her YouTube show, Allwell shared that she had planned to marry in 2005, but a tragic incident changed the course of her life.
According to the actress, her fiancé tragically lost his life in November 2005 while they were speaking on the phone—a traumatic experience that left her emotionally shattered for years.
“I know a lot of people who don’t want to be married and want to be alone. I know those who want to be married but don’t want kids,” she said during the interview.
Opening up further, she added: “I was supposed to have gotten married in 2005, but he ɗì£ɗ in November, that same year. I was talking to him on phone when he got sh0t. I l0ṣt my mind for 2 years.”
The actress explained that the loss of her partner had a profound impact on her, derailing her dreams of marriage and altering her perspective on relationships and life.
