England head coach Thomas Tuchel has reflected on his side’s 3-1 defeat to Senegal, offering a frank assessment of what went wrong.
Speaking after the match, Tuchel admitted that Senegal were the better team on the day and highlighted several key areas where England fell short.
“We didn’t play with enough intensity, and we lacked sharpness in key moments,” Tuchel said. “Senegal were more aggressive, more focused, and they deserved the win. It’s a tough result to take, but a necessary wake-up call.”
