Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has addressed speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford, stating that he “expects” to remain with the club despite reported interest from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Inter are exploring the possibility of a move for the Danish international as they look to strengthen their attacking options following a disappointing end to their season. After missing out on the Serie A title and suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, the Italian giants are planning a squad overhaul.
Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has acknowledged that the 22-year-old forward, who joined United from Atalanta nearly two years ago, could become a target for discussions and potential negotiations this summer.

However, Højlund appears committed to his current club, reiterating his focus on the ongoing project at Manchester United. Speaking to Danish outlet Bold, he said:
“I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I’m looking forward to a summer holiday, and then I’m fully committed to the project that’s in progress.
I know I can’t gain much from reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030.
I expect to play there, so I’m just gearing up for some summer holiday and then hopefully a solid pre-season.”
Although Højlund referenced a 2030 contract, he officially signed a five-year deal in August 2023, which runs through June 2028, with an option to extend until 2029.
Since joining the club, Højlund has made 95 appearances and scored 26 goals. He was also part of Denmark’s recent 2-1 win over Northern Ireland, where he played a key role in the national team’s efforts.
