Jorginho has officially left Arsenal after the mutual termination of his contract, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 33-year-old midfielder departs as a free agent following an agreement with the Gunners to end his deal with immediate effect. In a statement published on their official website, Arsenal said:
“We can confirm that we’ve reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect to become a free agent.”

Jorginho joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January 2023 and went on to make 78 appearances under manager Mikel Arteta. During his time at the Emirates, he contributed experience and leadership to the squad, featuring regularly in both domestic and European competitions.
Prior to his time in North London, the Italian international had notable spells at Chelsea, Napoli, and Hellas Verona.
Jorginho is now set for a new chapter in his career, with reports confirming he has agreed to join Brazilian side Flamengo on a three-year deal this summer.
