Ori: Rebirth, produced by actor Muyiwa Ademola, has overtaken Iyabo Ojo’s Labake Olododo to become the highest-grossing Nollywood film currently in cinemas.
Muyiwa shared the update on Instagram on Monday, posting a snapshot of the film’s poster which shows Ori: Rebirth has topped the box office for four consecutive weeks, grossing N308 million.
He wrote: “Our amazing FANS! It’s a small win but HUGE before us. Simply put, without you and God, there won’t be this huge success! Please don’t relent! Keep spreading it!!

As of last week, Ori: Rebirth stood at N262 million, slightly behind Labake Olododo which was at N262.6 million.
However, the new numbers now place Ori ahead, with Labake Olododo currently at N263.6 million.
Labake Olododo was released on March 28, while Ori: Rebirth hit cinemas on May 1.
The latter is a spiritual and cultural sequel to the original Ori film, exploring themes of destiny, self-discovery and personal transformation.
