Well-known Yoruba actress Lizzy Anjorin has disclosed some of the factors that led to a miscommunication on a film set between herself and her less experienced co-star Dewunmi Fatai. She also describes how Dewunmi responded when she offered her 500 naira for food.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of The Announcer TV, she explained that Dewunmi requested money for food from her but that she started abusing her after she gave her five hundred naira.
In her statement, she said, “In 2014, 2015 or 2016 thereabouts, I couldn’t really remember the year when I called an actress to find me someone that could work together with me on a movie set. The actress introduced Dewunmi Fatai

to me, and Dewunmi told me the amount of money she would take for the job, and we both had an agreement on the payment structure. Dewunmi requested money for food on movie set, and I gave her 500 naira, but she started abusing me. Surprisingly, I noticed that she was nowhere to be found on the movie set, and I called the actress that introduced her to me. The actress told me that Dewunmi complained to her that the money I gave her for food was too small. I called Dewunmi on the phone, and she started cursing me, and she dropped the call, and when I tried to call her again, she had already switched off the phone. If she had come to me to explain that the money was too small for her, maybe I could have added to it, but she decided to take the matter to social media.”
