Well-known Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has disclosed that her family advised her not to wed her ex-husband, actor Adeniyi Johnson, but she disregarded their advice.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of The Announcer TV during an interview, she explained that her family prayed about her getting married to Adeniyi Johnson, and they told her that he was not the right man for her, but that she ignored her family’s advice due to her stubbornness.
In her statement, she said, “My family were a little bit sceptical, but it was my godmother that asked me to go ahead to marry Kolawole Ajeyemi, and I’m from a Christian home, so when my family prayed about it, they said I should marry my husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi. My family said Adeniyi Johnson wasn’t the right man for me, but I was stubborn. I have learnt a lot of lessons from my previous marriage with Adeniyi Johnson because I’m more mature as a person now.”

I was very stubborn in my previous marriage, but my present husband said I must be submissive. I responded to my husband by telling him that I will be submissive to him because I have learnt some lessons from my previous marriage. I’m more mature as a woman now because there are some things that I can’t do anymore. In my previous marriage, I got angry easily at every little thing, but now I’m so mature because I and my present husband have two kids together now.”
