Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr could reportedly be handed a two-year suspension from football, as FIFA investigates a possible breach of its ethics regulations.
The global football governing body is currently examining whether the Brazilian forward has created a conflict of interest by owning stakes in professional football clubs—an action that goes against FIFA’s rules.
According to MARCA, the issue arises from Vinicius’ links to his father’s company, ALL Agenciamento Esportivo. A Brazilian firm, Tiberis Holding do Brasil, filed an official complaint with FIFA’s Ethics Committee on April 7, alleging that Vinicius has violated ethics regulations that prohibit players from holding direct or indirect ownership in football clubs.

The report names Brazilian side Athletic Club de São João del Rei and Portuguese club Alverca as two teams in which Vinicius reportedly has a stake. The complaint references FIFA’s Article 20 and Spain’s Article 22, which outline these restrictions.
Vinicius, considered one of the best players in the world due to his performances with Real Madrid, has tallied 105 goals and 79 assists in 311 appearances across all competitions. Despite his on-field success, he has often found himself in the spotlight for his controversial conduct.
If found guilty, Vinicius could face a suspension of up to two years and be forced to relinquish his ownership in the mentioned clubs.
