Nigerian winger Moses Simon has been nominated for the Best African Player of the Year award in Ligue 1, which is named in honor of former Cameroon international, Marc-Vivien Foé.

Simon has been in outstanding form for Nantes this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists for coach Antoine Kombouaré’s side.

The 29-year-old will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of fellow Nigerians Vincent Enyeama and Victor Osimhen, both of whom have previously won the prestigious award.
