Mercy Aigbe, a well-known Yoruba film actress, has talked about her feelings after converting from Christianity to Islam and the influence her spouse has on her life in order for her to practice the faith.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Emiralty Africa TV during a public Ramadan gathering with her husband, she explained that it’s been three years since she converted from Christianity to Islam and that she has been enjoying her newly acquired religion.
In her statement, she said, “It is always good to give praise to those who deserve it, and that is why I want to give thanks to my husband because he always supports me, and I feel so blessed to have him by my side. It’s been up to 3 years since I converted from Christianity to Islam, and I’m enjoying it. My husband sent me to Mecca, I did all my rights there as a Muslim, and I’m now an Alhaja. I pray that you continue to bless my husband for bringing me to Islam.”
