Man Utd announces that 200 jobs are at risk as part of the club’s ‘transformation plan’.

Manchester United has revealed plans to cut up to 200 more staff positions as part of a broader restructuring effort aimed at improving the club’s financial stability and operational efficiency. This follows the reduction of 250 roles last year.

Despite generating significant revenues, including a record £662 million for the 2023/24 season, the club has faced financial losses for five consecutive years, starting in 2019.

As part of the restructuring, free staff lunches at Old Trafford will also be eliminated, a move expected to save over £1 million annually.

These initiatives are all part of a larger strategy to restore profitability, focusing on cost reduction and long-term financial sustainability.
