Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has expressed his intention to stay at the club until his contract expires in 2026. Despite facing limited playing time under new manager Ruben Amorim, the Brazilian is committed to honoring his contract.
Casemiro was included in United’s starting XI for their 1-0 loss at Tottenham on Sunday due to injuries within the squad. Prior to that, he had been benched for 10 of the previous 11 league matches.
The 32-year-old remains professional and focused on seeing out his deal at Old Trafford.

“I have to keep doing what I’m doing, with respect and good behavior,” Casemiro told Diario AS. “Of course, I’d like to play more. I don’t know any player who doesn’t want to play. I want to help the club during this time. I approach everything with respect for my teammates, the staff, and, above all, for United.”
“I have a year and a half left on my contract, and I’d like to see it out here in Manchester. I’m comfortable here, and my family is too. They’ve adapted, we speak English. I’m very grateful to the fans and the club. I’m happy at the club. Am I happy on the bench? Of course not, that’s something else.”
Casemiro joined United in a €70 million move from Real Madrid in August 2022, bringing with him a wealth of experience, including five Champions League titles and three La Liga titles from his nine years at Madrid.
