Ten Hag has been out of work since being dismissed by United at the end of October. Following his sacking, he was frequently spotted attending matches across Europe. Borussia Dortmund were heavily rumored to be interested in the 55-year-old before ultimately appointing Niko Kovac on an 18-month contract.

Now, it seems Ten Hag’s three-month spell without a job may be coming to an end. Dutch outlet AD, along with others, reports that Feyenoord are considering the three-time Eredivisie champion as a permanent replacement for the sacked Brian Priske.

Priske’s dismissal is an unusual one. The highly regarded Danish coach was appointed after Arne Slot left for Liverpool in the summer, and he guided Feyenoord into the Champions League knockout stages—an achievement neither Slot nor any other manager in the club’s history has matched.

Feyenoord’s general and technical director, Dennis te Kloese, explained Priske’s sacking by citing “too little structural progress.”

“As a professional and as a person, I still hold Brian in high regard,” Te Kloese said. “However, sometimes you have to conclude that, despite everyone’s best efforts, things are not working out, and you reach a point where there’s not enough support to continue moving forward together.”

It remains uncertain whether Ten Hag will be open to taking the Feyenoord job, as the club is also reportedly considering his former Manchester United assistant, Rene Hake.
