Veteran Yoruba actress Lola Thompson has talked about her negative experiences in the Yoruba film industry, including being kidnapped by an actor. She also talked about how she mysteriously fell in love with the actor who kidnapped her for a number of years.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Kunleafod TV during an interview, she disclosed that an actor charmed her to make her forcefully fall in love with him and that he abducted her in his house for seven years.
In her statement, she said, “When I was featured in a movie where I played the lead role, an actor saw me in the movie, and he was surprised with my performance, and he invited me to do a stage play with him, and I accepted the offer. An actor used a charm to have sex with me, and he locked me in his house for 7 years.

It got to a point that he didn’t allow me to go out, my boss, who brought me to the movie industry, couldn’t see me again, and he didn’t allow any friends or family to have access to me.
I was living in bondage until one day when the charm stopped working and I ran away from his house. He started looking for me everywhere, and he threatened my life with hoodlums, and he said I should never return to the movie industry if I don’t go back to his house.”
