Manchester City earned a vital 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, bouncing back from a midweek setback against Paris Saint-Germain.

City got off to a rocky start, conceding within three minutes after debutant Abdukodir Khusanov’s poor back-pass was intercepted by a sharp Chelsea attack. Noni Madueke capitalized on the mistake, firing the visitors into an early lead.

Pep Guardiola’s side equalized just before halftime, courtesy of Josko Gvardiol. The defender surged forward to convert after a brilliant run from fellow full-back Matheus Nunes.

City took control in the second half, with Erling Haaland delivering a standout performance. In the 68th minute, he latched onto a long ball from goalkeeper Ederson, exploiting Robert Sanchez’s poor positioning to chip the Chelsea keeper from a tight angle and put the hosts ahead.

Haaland’s influence continued late in the match, setting up Phil Foden with another direct pass. Foden slotted home City’s third goal, sealing a hard-fought comeback and a valuable three points for the Premier League champions.
