Manchester City have completed the signing of Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth £59m, with potential add-ons increasing the fee by an additional £4m.
Marmoush has signed a contract with the Premier League champions until June 2029, bringing much-needed firepower to a City squad that has relied heavily on Erling Haaland for goals this season.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances, trailing only Harry Kane, who has netted 16 times for Bayern Munich.

In his unveiling video, Marmoush expressed his excitement about joining Manchester City:
“This is one of the biggest clubs in the world over the past decade, so the decision was easy. It’s a pleasure and an honor for me and my family to represent Manchester City. It’s a dream come true.”
He added, “I am fast, good on the ball, and dangerous.”
Marmoush isn’t City’s only acquisition this January. The club has also secured 19-year-old Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras for £30m and Uzbekistan international Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens for £34m, further bolstering their squad for the second half of the season.
