Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli over a potential January move, according to sources in Italy. The 20-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has come under scrutiny this month due to concerns about United’s compliance with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Despite a challenging season for the Red Devils, Garnacho has made 30 appearances across all competitions, continuing his development. He is currently United’s top scorer this season with eight goals but has been relegated to a super-sub role since Ruben Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as manager.
Garnacho’s diminished role, coupled with Amad overtaking him in the pecking order, has reportedly left the Argentine frustrated after previously thriving under Ten Hag. Reports suggest the United No. 17 has now given his approval for a move to Serie A ahead of the winter transfer deadline.

According to Calciomercato, Napoli have reached a preliminary agreement with Garnacho following discussions between the club’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, and the player’s representatives in Barcelona. Garnacho is said to be enticed by the opportunity to work under Antonio Conte in Naples.
Italian outlet Il Mattino claims the agreement includes a five-year contract worth approximately £2.5 million annually after tax, slightly less than the £2.6 million he currently earns at United.
