Manchester City cruised to a commanding 4-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday, securing their second consecutive Premier League win.

West Ham started brightly on the counter-attack, but their missed opportunities were quickly punished in the 10th minute. An unfortunate own goal from Vladimir Coufal gifted City the lead, as Savinho’s cross deflected off the Czech defender’s shin and past the wrong-footed Alphonse Areola.

As the first half progressed, Manchester City’s attacking prowess came to the forefront. With just three minutes remaining before the break, Savinho delivered a precise cross to Erling Haaland, who made no mistake, heading past Areola to double the lead.

The duo struck again early in the second half. Just 10 minutes after the restart, Savinho found Haaland, and the Norwegian powerhouse shrugged off Konstantinos Mavropanos before chipping the ball over Areola for his second of the match.

Things worsened for West Ham just three minutes later when a sloppy pass from Mohammed Kudus was intercepted by Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne played in Phil Foden, who made no mistake in finishing, giving City a 4-0 lead.

West Ham did manage to pull one back in the 70th minute, with Niclas Fullkrug firing a shot past Stefan Ortega, but it was little more than a consolation after another disappointing performance that increases the pressure on manager Julen Lopetegui.
