Nollywood actress and box office queen Funke Akindele is talking about the message her mother whispered to her in a dream After a year of not seeing her in any dreams.
During her Praise Fiesta, Funke Akindele revealed the information and shared her plans for 2025. Here are Funke Akindele’s thoughts on both.
Speaking about the message her mother revealed to her in a dream and why she insisted on doing the Praise Fiesta, Funke Akindele said:

FUNKE AKINDELE: For being able to breathe is a big gift, cuz when you’re alive, you have hope, you can do different things, so I’m grateful for life.
Over the years, the spirit of God keeps telling me you have to praise God with a gathering of people, but most times I will be like “I don’t want to come, that’s when somebody will be falling into anointing, and cameras.”
But last year, after my mom passed on, I didn’t see her in the dream for you know, for a whole year, then I saw her whispering into my ears “Funke, you have to praise God, that’s the only way. Stop asking, stop requesting, you have to praise God.” You know, she had a bad leg before she passed on, so it was like there’s an anchor on the leg, like a spring. She sprung in and said “you have to praise God” and she hopped off, joined the chariots and left.
So I had to pick up everything. For this year, I was so tired, I was like let’s just gather people in the sitting room. Then spirit of God said you were able to gather Lagbaja and people abi? You spent a lot, you don’t have money abi? But you could bring Lagbaja in, you could spend a lot on premiere; you better praise God or else!
So I had to gather all my friends, within two days, and everybody came here and I’m grateful to God and I’m thankful. So it’s very good to be thankful, to give thanks to God. More will surely come.
Then, speaking about the plans she has for 2025, Funke Akindele revealed saying:
FUNKE AKINDELE: We have a lot of content. I don’t want to spill the beans, but like I said, we’re going to empower a lot of young people. We’re going to train, you know, in Film Production, different departments in Film Production. We’re going to release good contents on YouTube, the big screen, streaming platforms. We’re going to entertain you 2025, I can say that.
