Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, is dealing with an injury ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The defender has missed the last two league matches for his Saudi club, Al Kholood, due to a muscle injury. However, Al Kholood has yet to provide an official update on his condition.

Head coach Eric Chelle will be hoping Troost-Ekong recovers in time for the qualifiers.

Nigeria will play Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21, before hosting Zimbabwe four days later.
