New Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has named his first provisional squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The 35-player roster includes veterans as well as new faces, with the team set to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe later this month.
Captain Ahmed Musa returns to the squad alongside assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and midfielder Joe Aribo. Chelle has also called up six fresh faces, blending experience with emerging talent. Among the new call-ups are home-based players Papa Mustapha, Kayode Bankole, and Ifeanyi Emmanuel Onyebuchi.
The Super Eagles will face Rwanda in Kigali on March 21, followed by a home match against Zimbabwe on March 25.
